UAE declares 72 new infections with coronavirus


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ABU DHABI, March 27 (KUNA) -- The United Arab Emirates announced on Wednesday registering 72 new cases of persons infected with coronavirus increasing to 409 total number of such cases.
The ministry of health said in a statement that three patients recovered, thus the total figure of those who survived ailment with the germ reached 55.
Among those newly diagnosed as patients were citizens from Sri Lanka, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Iran, Comoros Island, China, Saudi Arabia, the Kyrgyz Republic, Serbia, Greece, Uruguay, Romania, Sweden, South Africa, Iraq and Yemen.
Among those infected were people from Nepal, Ethiopia, four from the UAE, in addition to five persons from Britain, Pakistan and Lebanon. Twenty-three patients were Indians.
Abu Dhabi, two weeks ago, declared two deaths resulting from infection with the coronavirus. (end)
