Jordan- Bakeries, pharmacies to provide services through delivery soon: Adaileh


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Mar. 21 (Petra) -- Minister of State for Media Affairs, Amjad Adaileh, Saturday, confirmed that the government had decided to open a number of major bakeries and pharmacies across the Kingdom, to provide people with their needs of bread and medicine through delivery, the details of which will be announced later on.
Adaileh said during a press briefing at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM), that the government is currently considering a mechanism for issuing permits for dialysis patients.
He said: The government announced the opening 45 gas stations, as of tomorrow, Sunday, for the purpose of supplying vehicles belonging to working institutions, and holders of permits whose nature of work requires so. He highlighted that the opening times of the stations will be from 6:00 am - 6:00 pm, as the government is considering opening more stations in the coming days.
"We decided to allow the movement of liquefied gas transport tanks and gas distribution vehicles, in addition to allowing the movement of loaded and empty trucks, starting tomorrow, Sunday, to assist in commercial transport within the Kingdom in relation to the provision of food and goods," he added.
Adaileh stressed that the NCSCM is working to reach the most effective solutions to secure the basic needs, starting next Tuesday, indicating that the Center takes into account the peoples' needs and takes decisions based on them.
He reaffirmed that the curfew is "difficult," but it is needed to preserve the health and safety of citizens, "so it is necessary to cope with it and adhere to the instructions issued by the concerned authorities."
