Kuwait hosts third Gulf Middle Eastern International Plastic Surgery Congress


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Feb 19 (KUNA) -- The third Gulf Middle Eastern International Plastic Surgery congress kicked off in Kuwait on Wednesday.
Speaking to KUNA, Dr. Qutaiba Al-Kandari, Consultant Plastic, Aesthetic and Burn Surgery Chairman of Al-Babtain Center of Burns Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, said the two-day congress attracts 300 participants from 25 countries.
It aims to help participants be acquainted with the latest developments in reconstructive burn surgery and deal with potential surgical complications, he said.
He stressed the importance of the congress, as the Kuwaiti specialists share expertise, information and culture with their counterparts all over the world.
Congress'' Vice President Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Rasheed told KUNA in a similar statement that the event discusses the latest advancement in this field.
The congress made much progress last year in terms of the content, and local, regional and international participants, speakers, recommendations and workshops, he added.
Meanwhile, Ahmad Al-Ali, head of the organizing committee, expressed his delight at the success and continuation of the conference, which contributes through its activities to being acquainted with the scientific developments. (end)
