Kuwait- Amb. to Sudan delivers credentials to Chad president as non-resident envoy


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KHARTOUM, Feb 13 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Ambassador to Sudan Bassam Mohammad Al-Qabandi delivered his credentials to Chadian President Idriss Deby as a non-residential ambassador to the Republic of Chad.
Ambassador Al-Qabandi said in a statement to KUNA that he relayed to the Chadian president greetings from His Highness the Amir sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and his sincere wishes for Chad and its friendly people so they may witness lasting progress, stability and prosperity.
The envoy, during the talks with the president, touched on Kuwait's aid for the nation via Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, namely alloted financial contributions for financing development ventures.
He expressed hope that relations between the two countries would be elevated in various sectors for serving joint interests.
The credentials' handover ceremony was attended by the Chadian foreign minister and senior officials from the Chadian Presidency.
Earlier, the envoy delivered a copy of the credentials to the Chadian State secretary. (end)
