Turkey's daily electricity consumption to increase


(MENAFN) Official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) showed that, on Tuesday, Turkey's daily electricity consumption rose by 1.7 percent to 863,401 megawatt-hours.


The data showed that, hourly power consumption peaked at local time 18:00 with 41,118 megawatt-hours and the country's electricity usage decreased to its lowest daily point of 28,777 megawatt-hours at local time 05:00.


On Tuesday, electricity making amounted 863,979 megawatt-hours, marking a 1.7 percent rise in comparison with the previous day.


Most of the output came from natural gas that arrived at 257,584 megawatt-hours as imported coal and hydro followed with 209,198 megawatt-hours and 146,442 megawatt-hours.
