(MENAFN) After the road traffic accident in Chingola region on the Copperbelt Province that caused 6 losses and 26 injuries, on Tuesday, Zambian President Edgar Lungu mourned the tragic accident.

The accident took place on Sunday when a minibus the victims were traveling in hit into a stationary truck and was later crashed by another vehicle that was behind.

Lungu said in statement and expressed grief after the tragic accident and asked the country's Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) to repeatedly check on the roads to clear broken down vehicles that cause danger to motorists.

He said that, "it is sad that people perished because a truck was left on the road for a long time. RTSA and police must develop a culture of clearing roads of vehicles that have broken down,"
