Drop for 10th month in Taiwan's export orders


(MENAFN) Official data revealed Taiwan to have recorded an 8.3 percent year-on-year decline in its exports orders last month to stand at USD40.05 billion.

This is the tenth month in a row for Taiwan-based companies to suffer losses in export orders, as the economic affairs authority of the island unveiled.

Taiwan registered a 6.3 percent decrease in its export orders from January to August, reaching USD303.43 billion from results seen during the same period a year earlier.

Data further showed that export orders in the island fell by 1.2 percent in August compared to data unveiled in July 2019.
