Kuwait nat'l volleyball team loses to South Korea in Asian Championship in Tehran

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TEHRAN, Sept 14 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's men's volleyball team lost to South Korea at the 20th Asian Championship in Tehran on Saturday.
"Our match today ended in three games for the South Korean team, which is a natural result due to the great technical differences between the two teams," Kuwait Volleyball Federation president Hussein Ahmad Ashour told KUNA.
"The loss of three games does not reflect the real level of the Kuwaiti team, which is normal in sports technically and the big differences between the two teams, especially after resuming from a four-year suspension", he added.
He pointed to the inexperience of some young players in the Kuwaiti team, who constitute the mainstay of the future and the large number of injuries and apologies beyond the will of the members of the team, adding, "We are working in the light of a certain strategy to build a better future."
The Kuwaiti volleyball team lost on Friday in its first match in the tournament against Indonesia national team by 3-1.
The national team will play its third match against Pakistan on Sunday.
The 20th Asian Volleyball Championship kicked off Friday in the Iranian capital of Tehran with 16 teams and will run until the 21st of this month.(end).
