Bangladesh- Emirates and Rotary members visit facilities for unprivileged children in city


(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Emirates officials and members of the Rotary Club of Dilkusha visited the orphanage and school, run by Dhaka Ahsania Mohila Mission yesterday, March 4, 2019 at Mirpur of the city.
Saed Mohammed Al-Muhairi, UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh, Saeed Abdullah Miran, Emirates Area Manager for Bangladesh, Khairul Alam, Governor Elect of Rotary International District 3281, Mahbub Rashid, President Rotary Club of Dilkusha along with other officials of Emirates and members of Rotary Club spent half a day with the children of the orphanage and school, interacted with them and saw for themselves the facilities there.
The delegation was welcomed by Anwara Sufi and Nurun Nahar Abed, President and General Secretary respectively of the Dhaka Ahsania Mohila Mission. Inmates of the orphanage arranged a short cultural programme for the guests and presented them with the paintings, done by themselves.
On the other hand, children of the orphanage were presented with various gifts on behalf of Emirates, which included children's bags, blankets, pillows and others. The visiting delegation hosted special lunch for the children.
The programme was jointly organised by Emirates Bangladesh office and Rotary Club of Dilkusha.
It may be mentioned here that Dhaka Ahsania Mohila Mission presently hosting over 70 unprivileged girls at the orphanage and providing education to over 500 girls at the school.
Besides, providing food and accommodation to the girls the Mission arranges for their formal and professional education, helps develop their skills in other fields to establish them in the society.
