The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) on Monday announced the issuance of a new silver coin to commemorate the 30th year of Sultan's Armed Forces Museum.
'In conjunction with the Blessed Renaissance Day, and in cooperation with the Office of Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces, we are pleased to issue a silver coin commemorating the 30th anniversary of the inauguration of the Sultan's Armed Forces Museum,' the Central Bank of Oman stated.
The commemorative coin is a 'Legal Tender' for its face value and can be purchased from CBO. However, the bank said that 'the RO25 price is subject to change in accordance with the variations in the prices of silver in the international market'.
'The coin will be unveiled on July 25 at the Sultan's Armed Forces Museum,' CBO added. The commemorative coin will be available for sale at the Central Bank of Oman starting from July 28.
A limited 600 coins are being issued, the bank said.
