Drug ring's leader seized in Vietnam

The Vietnam News Agency has reported on Monday that a Lao man, who is the leader of a drug trafficking ring, has been taken into custody by the Border guard forces of Vietnam's central Quang Binh province, twenty four thousand drug pills were also obtained.

The 39 years old man has been finally captured after a nine months long investigation while he was transferring the drugs to Vietnam from Laos.

Criminals convicted of transporting more than 2.5 kg of methamphetamine or 600 grams of heroin are sentenced to death in Vietnam according to the law, trafficking 300 grams of other drugs is also punishable by death.
