Bangladesh to get an aviation university


(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Dhaka : With the aim to promote and upgrade the aeronautical and aerospace studies in the country, the government has decided to establish a dedicated university for such studies in the country.
To this end, the Cabinet most recently approved the draft of 'Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University Bill, 2018'.
The approval was given at the 35th Cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister's Office with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
Bangladesh Air Force will construct the university in the capital, said Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam while briefing reporters at the Secretariat after the meeting.
As per the proposed law, Bangladesh Air Force Academy, Flying Instructor School, Flight Safety Institute, Command and Staff Training Institute, Aeronautical Institute and Officers Training Institute will be affiliated with the university, said Alam.
