Amman, June 17 (Petra)- Minister of Social Development Basma Ishaqat on Monday discussed with Executive Director of Mercy Corps in Scotland Simon O'Connell and Director of Jordan Branch Office Dr. Hunter Keith the ministry's policies, and strategies to develop volunteering and enhance cooperation with the organization.
Mercy Corps' strategy in the Kingdom covers three key areas: providing protection, and humanitarian assistance; community support and strengthening governance; supporting economic growth and conserving resources.
O'Connell praised the ministry's role in facilitating the organization's tasks, praising bilateral relations and wishing to develop cooperation prospects between the two sides.
