(MENAFN) Two men have been detained over an attempt to smuggle a "deadly haul of firearms" similar to the weapons deployed in mass shootings in the United States.
The weapons, with two AR-15 assault rifles and four handguns among them, have been discovered by Border Force officers at Dover, under the floor of a vehicle.
The kind of rifle seized, was deployed in recent shootings at a Florida school and music festival in Las Vegas.
The suspects, from Essex, have been arrested in abusive weapons importation.
