30 percent surge in Kuwaiti exports


(MENAFN) Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported that the GCC nation registered a 30 percent boost in the export of its non-oil commodities in April 2019.

USD40 million was reached in Kuwait's exports for the month from the USD28.8 million generated in 2018.

Arab countries, except GCC nations, received USD16.7 million worth of Kuwaiti non-oil goods while countries from outside the Arab world were granted USD17.4 million worth of products.

Exports of Kuwait to its neighboring GCC states reached USD6.2 million during the month.

KUNA reported: "Iraq came first in Arab countries importing Kuwaiti products, followed by Jordan, Lebanon, Algeria, Yemen, Egypt, and Morocco."

It added: "for the GCC states, Saudi Arabia came first, followed by Qatar, UAE, Oman, and Bahrain."
