UAE- ERC commissions vocational facilities in Beirut


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) BEIRUT, 10th May, 2019 (WAM) -- UAE Ambassador to Lebanon Hamad Saeed Sultan Al Shamsi has commissioned a number of facilities at the Vocational Centre of Beirut after they have been revamped by the Emirates Red Crescent.

The facilities include heating, ventilating and air conditioning units as well as a computer lab. They fall within the 'Year of Tolerance' initiatives implemented by the UAE.

"The initiative is part of the UAE leadership's constant support for the brotherly people of Lebanon," the ambassador said.

Former Lebanese Minister Khalid Qabani, who is the director-general of the Lebanese Institutions for the Professional Training of Difficult Social Cases, accompanied the UAE ambassador and underlined the prestigious stature enjoyed by UAE in Lebanon and among the Lebanese people "thanks to the country's honourable stances as well as valuable and sustainable support."

Attending also were a number of academics, supervisors and the teaching staff of the Vocational Centre of Beirut.
