Afghanistan: 8 civilians wounded amid explosion


(MENAFN) Afghan provincial government spokesman Attaullah Khogyani confirmed eight civilians to have been inflicted with injuries due to a bombing attack.

On Monday, a bomb detonated close to a health clinic located in Jalalabad city, capital of the eastern Nangarhar Province in Afghanistan.

Speaking to Xinhua, the spokesman revealed "those among the injured were three women and three children and all the wounded were shifted to provincial hospital by police and rescue team."

Khogyani added that the explosion caused the destruction of a number of shops and offices, however, thankfully, no critical injuries were reported.
