Mozambique granted Turkish Red Crescent aid


(MENAFN) Mozambique receives humanitarian assistance from the Turkish Red Crescent (Kizilay) after the country was struck with the violent Cyclone Idai.

Kizilay official in Maputo Recep Bora Atlihan confirmed Mozambique to have been granted 15 tons of assistance that comprise of food and cleaning materials among more goods.

According to the official, "we are planning to send 15 tons of humanitarian aid, fast consuming food and cleaning supplies" in an initial shipment likely to arrive on Monday.

Atlihan added "we are trying to reach a helping hand from our country to the people in need as fast as possible and we hope to be successful."
