(MENAFN) Oman penned an interim agreement with Netherlands-based Shell, aiming to establish gas acreage in Block 6 throughout this year.
Under the deal, investments will be allocated in oil, gas and resources for initiatives Oman is planning to launch.
Shell Oman chairman Chris Breeze stated that "we hope that the development of gas resources destined for the integrated projects will play an important role in generating in-country value and diversifying Oman's economy."
Another contract was also penned between Petroleum Development Oman, Oman Oil Company and Total on a strategic partnership.
