Jordan- PM meets Palestinian counterpart, Sudanese Vice President

Beirut, Jan. 20 (Petra) -- Prime Minister, Omar Razzaz, on Sunday met with the Palestinian Prime Minister, Rami Hamdallah, on the sidelines of the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit.

During the meeting, Razzaz underlined the strong relations between the two countries and Jordan's keenness to further strengthening it in all fields.

They stressed the desire to enhance trade relations between Jordan and Palestine and emphasized the two governments' commitment, under the directives of their leaderships, to facilitating procedures and removing obstacles to bilateral cooperation.

They agreed to hold a meeting in the near future between the Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Tareq Hammouri, and Palestinian Economy Minister, Abeer Odeh, to discuss mechanisms to increase trade exchange.

Razzaz also met with the Sudanese Vice President, Gen. Bakri Saleh, and discussed means of enhancing bilateral cooperation and coordination.

Razzaz pointed out to steps taken by Jordan to facilitate the issuance of visas to the Sudanese brethren who want to receive medical treatment in Jordan.

The meeting discussed the facilitation of procedures for Jordanian medical exports entering the Sudanese market.
