Defending champion Roger Federer has crashed out of the Australian Open.

The Swiss ace suffered a shocking round of 16 loss to Greek 14th seed Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Stefanos won the match 6-7 (11-13) 7-6 (7-3) 7-5 7-6 (7-5) on a dramatic night.

Federer, a six-time champion, came into the event as the two-time successive defending champion.
