Turkish oil imports from Iran recommence
(MENAFN) Turkey was announced to have recommenced its crude oil imports from Iran following a halt which lasted a month after being imposed in November.
It comes after the U.S. slammed Iran with sanctions, and then presented some countries, Turkey among them, with an exemption to the sanctions.
The exemption granted Turkey the right to import 3 million tons of Iranian crude oil a year, accounting for around 60,000 barrels per day (bpd).
Turkey, a shipping and trading source unveiled, received two tankers with Iranian crude oil last month which amounted for around 54,000 bpd.
