Doha: Asian Town is all set to celebrate Qatar National Day on December 18, 2018, Ibn Ajayan Projects (IAP), managers of Asian Town said yesterday. Several activities will be organised to mark this momentous occasion.
Asian Town is completely decorated with flags and colorful ribbons. The preparations are in full swing and the whole Asian Town is getting a makeover with all the streets getting adorned with the national flags. A series of events that reflect the country's heritage, culture, and traditions are organized at Asian Town by IAP and Ministry of Interior.
IAP will demonstrate Al Ardha, a traditional Arabic sword dance on December 18 from 6 pm to 9 pm in front of Plaza Mall. Al Ardha, a celebratory dance that symbolises strength and unity, where all visitors will be welcomed and encouraged to participate alongside the dancers, a true representation of solidarity within the community.
The programs will be organised in different locations of Asian Town, including outside yard at cricket stadium, open parking area in front Plaza Mall. Cultural events will be held inside the Asian Town Amphitheater on these days.
