Kuwaiti security official indorses importance of Arab nation's cooperation

TUNIS, Dec 12 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Interior Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for correctional institutions and execution of judgment Major General Faraj Al-Zu'bi confirmed on Wednesday the importance of security cooperation and coordination between Arab nations, especially "as challenges we face are common." Al-Zu'bi gave a statement to KUNA on the sidelines of the 42nd Conference of Arab Police and Security Leaders, saying that Kuwait's partaking in this conference is represented by the Interior Ministry and aims to strengthen security cooperation between the Arab countries.
He also explained that the conference would hold discussions on many matters and concerns on the development of the performance of police forces and set a unified strategy to combat electronic crimes, along with agreeing on a code of conduct of the Arab policeman.
Cyber crimes are a wide variety including crimes such as fraud and terrorism among many others, added Al-Zu'bi as he points out one of the significant security challenges faced.
He also said that this conference is an opportunity to present our security experiences among other Arab nations and discuss bilateral agreements to coordinate the safeguard of our countries.
The 42nd Conference of Arab Police and Security Leaders, held in Tunis, was launched earlier today to cover security concerns from crimes to terrorism in the Arab world.
The Interior Ministry's delegation participating is headed by Al-Zu'bi and with him is the Director of electronic crime control Colonel Yousef Al-Habeeb and Director of Coordination Colonel Abdul-Mohsen Al-Akkash and Captain Abdul-Rahman Dashti. (end) ksj.aq
