Oman- Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries to set up first veterinary hospital in Dhofar


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (MoAF) is planning to set up a veterinary hospital in Dhofar. It has called on private institutions to invest in the project, which will be the first of its kind in the sultanate.

The ministry stated that the hospital aims to control the spread of disease, maintain public health and conduct all kinds of surgical procedures. The hospital will also have laboratories to diagnose various pathological conditions.

'The hospital will be supervised and regulated by the competent authority at the ministry,' MoAF stated. It said the private sector will manage and operate the hospital. The deadline for submission of applications is January 11, 2019. Applications must be submitted in the ministry building in Al Khuwayr.
