(MENAFN) Turkey was announced to have launched a high-level conference on the Palestinian cause on Saturday, under the theme "Palestine Addressing the World".
The Palestine International Forum for Media and Communication, located in Lebanon's Beirut, coordinate the two-day conference.
The conference is joined by a great number of journalists, academics and writers from sixty countries.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency, the forum's director Bilal Khalil stated: "we are here in Istanbul to bring worldwide media organizations together to raise awareness about the Palestinian cause."
Khalil added: "our big aim is to raise awareness on the universality of the Palestinian cause and create a networking platform for media professionals from all over the world."
