(MENAFN) On Tuesday, the President of the Palestinian Authority emphasized that he demanded the international community for assistance to halt the continuing Israeli raids in the Gza Strip.
Mahmoud Abbas spoke to local and international actors to directly halt attacks and prevent the damaging of the area, according to Palestinian WAFA news.
Separately, UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov tweeted on Twitter the UN was functioning with Egypt and others to "ensure that Gaza steps back from the brink".
Mladenov called for an end to missile fire and limitation by all sides.
