Qatar- Comprehensive safety house launched by QFSW

Qatar Foundation for Social Work (QFSW) yesterday inaugurated a comprehensive safety house affiliated with the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Centre (AMAN), representing an integrated shelter and a comprehensive social as well as healthy environment for children and women who are vulnerable to violence, and children of broken families.
On the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Ministry of Public Health and QFSW as well as the announcement of the mobile applications on 'child and woman's safety as well as 'safety advisor.
The MoU, which was signed by Minister of Public Health H E Dr Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari and QFSW Chairperson Munira bint Nasser Al Misnad, aims at activating joint cooperation between the two sides and supporting national efforts on the issues of target groups.
It also paves the way for joint cooperation protocols between the centers of the QFSW and the departments of the Ministry of Public Health and its various centers to provide health care services to the needy served by the foundation.
On this occasion, QFSW CEO Amal Abdullatif Al Mannai expressed her delight and proudness of the launch of the comprehensive safety house affiliated with AMAN, especially as it is based on the highest standards of health, security and rehabilitation, as well as it is enveloped in a social touch reflects the philosophy of the QFSW in dealing with the targeted cases. She noted that work on preparing this house to gain the confidence of the community and the residents themselves began almost a year ago.
Al Mannai explained that the comprehensive safety house reflects the importance of social rehabilitation, which is the key to providing protection for life.
The QFSW CEO added that the centres of the foundation are witnessing a great renaissance and multiple developments based on continuous studies in accordance with international mechanisms and protocols adopted in the health fields.
On the MoU, Al Mannai said that the Ministry of Public Health is a key and active partner of all the foundations' centres in providing psychological services, rehabilitation and health care for its residents. She pointed out that the MoU is one of the mechanisms and pillars through which the foundation seeks to create partnerships with the various state institutions.
For his part, AMAN Executive Director Mansoor Al Saady said that the comprehensive safety house hosts ten cases from the siege countries temporarily for their need for treatment and psychological rehabilitation because of their family suffering as a result of the unjust siege imposed on the State of Qatar.
He explained that the centre receives its residents according to their health and psychological state or through the institutions of the State concerned, such as the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Public Health and the attorney general or the parents after undergoing a medical examination.
AMAN executive director stressed that comprehensive safety house provides its services in accordance with international quality standards. He explained that it is an integrated complex of more than 30 real state units dedicated to comprehensive accommodation services, and it also provides a temporary accommodation service with a well-planned rehabilitation plan.
It is noteworthy that the mobile application 'safety advisor announced Monday provides a free consultation of the legal, social and psychological, where the response to the request for consultation will be within five days, and it will be ready to use in early January on mobile and website.
The mobile application 'child and woman's safety launched Monday for iPhone users, and scheduled to be available on Android phones next month, provides easy reporting of cases of violence or family disruption, which may be exposed to children or women, through a suitable design for the child and another suitable for women. The application also provides determining location service.
