Saudi Arabia, Malaysia eye closer economic ties


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, Sept 25 (KUNA) -- Saudi Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Eng. Khaled bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih received Malaysian Minister of International Trade and Industry Mustafa Mohammad and his party here on Monday.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the implementation of the joint agreements on cooperation in the fields of energy, industry and mineral resources, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

They discussed the outcomes of the historic visit by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Malaysia in February 2017.

The two ministers also explored ways for expanding economic and industrial cooperation and launching joint projects.

The Malaysian Minister, leading a large business delegation, praised the Kingdom's successful organization of this year Hajj season.

Earlier today, he held talks with Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani.
