DUBAI, 25th October, 2016 (WAM) -- The Building Department of Dubai Municipality recently received a delegation comprising British representatives of construction companies in the UK.
The delegation was visiting at the invitation of the British Embassy, who co-ordinated the visit.
The delegation was briefed on the Building Department's work mechanisms, including the registration and qualification of branches of foreign offices and contracting companies. They were also introduced to the procedures to be followed to obtain building permits. This was aimed at co-ordinating work opportunities for projects of Expo 2020, which will be hosted by the Emirate of Dubai.
During the visit, a presentation was also given on the statistics of the buildings under construction and those completed.
The visit concluded with an open discussion and constructive dialogue between the municipality officials and the UK delegation, which commended the positive co-operation of the Building Department.
