Gold price rises to USD 1.337 per ounce

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sept 25 (KUNA) -- The gold price went up 1.7 percent, some 22 USD, settling at USD 1.337 per ounce in the end of the past week's trade, according to Sabaek Al-Kuwait Company.

The company said in a weekly report released on Sunday that the yellow metal prices continued to hold the higher levels, capitalizing on the dollar weakness, a decision by the US Federal Reserve to hold off raising interest rates scaling back the number of rate hikes forecast next year.

The gold is forecast to hit the level of USD 1.357 per ounce in the remaining week of September, (end) hth.haq
