Kuwait leaders congratulate new president of Iceland

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, June 30 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has addressed a cable of congratulations to Gudni Johannesson on the occasion of his election as president of the friendly Republic of Iceland.
His Highness the Amir wished President Johannesson life-long good health and expressed hopes the bilateral ties between the two friendly countries would be boosted further.
Their Highnesses the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, respectively Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, addressed cables of identical content to the new Iceland''s president. (end) rk
