Oman plans to develop major Airport City at USD 5bn


(MENAFN) The government exposed plans for the development of a major Airport City at Seeb attached by Muscat International Airport with an estimated USD 5bn expansion.

Moreover, the project aims to move the airport from a mere gateway into a destination, and to change the Co. from its recent status as a regional player into a global operator.

The firm's goal is to build a whole city around Muscat airport, so people can come, live and work in the city, and will be the operators for Salalah and other airports.

On the other hand, it also aims to evolve into a global operator, and among the coming five years it aims to operate and manage, and own airports overseas as well.
