UAE- Fujairah residents say adieu to hero martyred in Yemen

Residents bid a tearful adieu to martyr Nasser Ali Hassan Al Beloushi who was laid to rest at Al Jaber cemetery in Fujairah on Wednesday.

Al Beloushi succumbed to his wounds on Tuesday at a hospital in Germany after remaining in a life support system for 78 days. He was undergoing treatment from the injuries he sustained while fighting along the UAE armed forces as part of the Saudi-led Arab coalition in the Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen.

People from all walks of life thronged the martyr's house at Mirisheed locality in Fujairah to offer condolences and funeral prayers on Wednesday.

Dr Shaikh Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi Chairman of Fujairah Authority for Culture and Information were among mourners who attended the funeral at the Armed forces Martyrs Mosque in Fujairah.

Mohammed Ali Hassan Mohammed Al Beloushi brother of the martyr said: "The martyr was first taken to Saudi Arabia and admitted to the military hospital in the capital Riyadh where he remained for five days. Later he was flown to a hospital in Germany where he breathed his last.

The 37-year-old martyr was survived by seven children below 17 years old Mohammed said.

He added his brother had been with the Armed forces for 20 years and joined the Arab coalition forces since the beginning of the Operation Restoring Hope.

He bode farewell to his family with a smile and strong iron-will as he sacrificed for his country and a just cause Mohammed said.

"The last phone call with him was two hours before he was wounded. He sent a message saying he was in good condition and also talked to his mother and assured her that he was alright."

Mohammed said: "I travelled to Riyadh to inquire about his health. Later he was flown to Germany where he was admitted to a hospital and remained in life-supporting machine for 78 days before he died."

The mother of the martyr said: "I believed in the destiny and fate of God.

"I have nothing to say except praying to Allah to rest him in paradise as he was a forerunner in responding to the call of the national duty to confront the aggression and eventually he will remain a hero."

Mohammed added: "My brother sacrificed his life for the country its leadership and the people of the UAE I am happy because God had chosen him as martyr to see justice is done."
