(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) At least two children were killed after two boats collided and capsized in the Kenyan waters of Lake Victoria, local
media reported Wednesday, according to dpa.
A passenger boat with 23 travellers collided with a fishing boat
ferrying four people early Wednesday between the islands of Kiwa and
Remba, police told local newspaper The Standard.
Police commander John Omusanga confirmed the death of two children,
while local fishermen said nine people drowned, newspaper Daily
Nation reported.
Twenty-one people were rescued, according to police.
