Royal Oman Police News : Morphine, heroin capsules seized in raids in N Batinah and Khasab


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Two Omanis have been arrested from Shinas in North Batinah on charges of drug possession.

A police source said the two were found with 83 capsules of morphine and had links with an international drug smuggling gang. The two have been referred to the Public Prosecution.

In a separate incident, police seized heroin and a large quantity of psychotropic drugs from Khasab's Al Hala area. Sleuths seized 262g heroin and 50,000 Tramadol pills.

Customs officials prevent entry of psychotropic drugs

An ROP source has said that customs officials have prevented a large quantity of psychotropic drugs from entering the country. The drugs had been sent from an Asian country and included 100 Clonezepam capsules and 45 Tramadol tablets. Another consignment, this time from an Arab nation - included 83 psychotropic tablets.
