Qatar's tourism sector inflow grows 11 percent in Q1

(MENAFN) The overall influx of tourists in Qatar witnessed an 11 percent growth in the first quarter of the year, compared to the corresponding period a year ago, Gulf Times reported.

The total number of visitors reached 841,025, of which 17 percent came from the two Americas, 9 percent from Europe, and 7 percent from Asia, according to Qatar Tourism Authority's (QTA) report.

"These impressive results prompt us to build on them by providing the tourism and hospitality sector with full support, so that it can grow and flourish," the chief tourism development officer at QTA said.
