(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The 33-year-old Bangladeshi man allegedly lured the two siblings away from their parents to hug and hold them tightly and touch them inappropriately.A labourer allegedly molested a seven-year-old girl and tried to do the same with her six-year-old sister after he lured them to a corner of a shop in Al Muraqqabat showing a toy the Court of First Instance heard on Tuesday.
The 33-year-old Bangladeshi man allegedly lured the two siblings away from their parents to hug and hold them tightly and touch them inappropriately.
The girls’ father a Lebanese operation manager said he took his children to the shop on May 9. “I was checking the goods with my wife and my girls were next to us” he said during investigation.
The father said that his seven-year-old daughter told him that a man holding a toy took her to a corner in the shop where he hugged her and made her sit on his lap. He touched her inappropriately but she pushed him away and ran to her parents.
The complainant described his daughter as being scared and confused when she recounted to him what the stranger did to her.
He said he learnt from his daughter that the defendant also tried to lure her younger sister but she grabbed her hand and did not let her go with him.
The daughter showed him the alleged molester and he tried to catch him but he vanished from the shop immediately.
He called the police and checked the CCTV footage along with the cops. The footage showed his daughter being hugged by the accused.
He identified him at the police station upon his arrest in June.
A police corporal said that the defendant looked agitated when they arrested him on June 6.
Another police corporal quoted the accused as admitting to have lured the girl with a toy away from the customers and staff at the shop and molested her.
