Attack on Afghan President's Security Convoy Leaves 4 Injured


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Bul July 17 (QNA) - Taliban militants attacked the security convoy of Afghan President Hamid Karzai in eastern Paktia province of Afghanistan.

Preliminary reports suggest that four of president Karzai's security personnel have been injured following the attack (Khaama Press) reported.

The security convoy was on its way to Orgun district ahead of president Karzai's visit when the incident occurred.

A number of the security guards were reportedly abducted by Taliban militants during the gun battle Khaama added. (QNA)
