Air Seychelles to expand its global network through Abu Dhabi


(MENAFN) Air Seychelles, in which Etihad Airways holds a 40 percent stake, unveiled plans to expand its international schedule, Arabian Business reported. The carrier said it will launch extra flights to Abu Dhabi, in addition to increased weekly frequencies to Johannesburg and Mauritius, starting on March 24. The airline will increase Abu Dhabi services to seven return flights per week from the current four, supporting Air Seychelles' codeshare operations and the new Hong Kong services. Etihad Airways will operate three services per week on the route. Under a codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways, the combined network currently offers 440 convenient flight connections per week from the Seychelles to destinations across the globe. This will increase to 496 connections from March 24. Air Seychelles will take the total number of flights to Europe, through Abu Dhabi hub, to 151 from 144 currently when the the new schedule takes effect.
