Tunisia to receive USD500m loan from WB

(MENAFN) The World Bank (WB) announced that it has endorsed a USD500 million loan to Tunisia, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The bank added that the North African country will also receive USD700 million from the European Union (EU) and the African Development Bank to support its transition. The loan provided by the World Bank would be used to enhance the country's business and financial sectors, and to reform social services. It is worth noting that the country was swept with political, social and economic turmoil that ousted president Zain Al Abedeen in 2011 and triggered revolutions in several Arab countries.
