Kuwait Stock Exchange index ends Wednesday session down to 15,348 pts


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The price index at Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) ended the day in red at 15,348 points with a drop of 6.7 points, while the weighted index gained 0.89 points to read 781.35 points. The day saw 11,171 trades at KD 209,955,190 with 449,492,500 shares changing hands. Five of the market's eight sector indices were green by closing; the industry index with a gain of 126 points, the non-Kuwaiti companies with an increase of 17.4 points, and the services with 12 points were the top three gainers. The sector with the greatest fall meanwhile was the investment index with a decline of 142.5 points. As for share performance, leading high share was that of Specialties Group Holding at a hike of 9.8 percent, while Tameer Real Estate Investment share was the day's biggest loser at a drop of 5.5 percent. National Ranges Company recorded the highest traded shares in Wednesday's transactions with 32.1 million shares. In terms of volume, the five top shares were those of National Ranges Company, Bayan Investment Company, Arab Real Estate, Al-Safwa Group, and Injazzat Real Estate Company, at a combined 27.1 percent of the day's volume and an overall volume of 122.2 million shares.
