Arsenal close to appointing Unai Emery as their new boss

Premier League giants Arsenal have reportedly found their new manager.
The Gunners are close to appointing former Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery as Arsene Wenger's successor at the Emirates Stadium.
If reports from ESPN FC are to be believed, the announcement of Emery's appointment could be made as early as Wednesday.
Arsene Wenger retired after spending 22 years with Arsenal.

These reports are contrary to the ones that claimed former Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta was the front-runner to replace Wenger.
Arteta has spent the last 2 years as Pep Guardiola's assistant at Manchester City, since his retirement from professional football.
Despite being impressed by Arteta, Arsenal's big boys favor Emery to take charge.

Emery won major titles with PSG this season including the Ligue 1.
However, he was axed from his post after failing to take the Paris outfit ahead in the Champions League.

Arsenal have zeroed in on Emery considering his record at Sevilla, where he built one of Europe's most successful sides on a limited budget.
Further, former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique's wage demands were too much for Arsenal.
Germany coach Joachim Low ruled himself out after extending his contract with the world champions.
