In line with World Diabetes Day, Aster DM Healthcare, one of the largest private healthcare providers which operate in multiple GCC states, organised free, open-to-all events including, Free HbA1c Tests, Diabetic expo, interactive sessions and CME to raise awareness on diabetics amongst all types of residents in Qatar.
The Continuing Medical Education (CME) on ‘Women and Diabetes' exclusively for the Doctors from all territories of Qatar was held at Hotel Holiday Villa, Doha on November 14.
Key paper was presented by Dr Gireesh Kumar, Specialist- Internal Medicine at Aster Hospital. Dr Jobin Rajan Benjamin, Specialist- Internal Medicine, Aster Hospital was the moderator of the event.
The programme also witnessed by the presentation of Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on National Clinical Guidelines by Dr Rasmeh Al Huneiti, Marcel Garcia and Dr Iiham Siddig.
Dr Sameer Moopan, Chief Executive officer, Aster DM Healthcare and more than 45 doctors across Qatar participated in the session.
The 10 day long Diabetic Expo for the all type of residents of Qatar started last November 14and to continue until November 24 at Aster Medical Centre, Industrial Area.
The expo along with the free services of monitoring blood pressure levels, interactive sessions, free diabetic check-up under the guidance of specialist doctors got overwhelming response and already attended by more than 1500 people.
More than 1200 residents availed the free HbA1c test which was available from 8am to 11am last Friday. The facility was available at Aster Medical Centres situated in Al- Hilal, C Ring Road, Industrial Area, Al Rayyan, Al Khor and Old Al Ghanim.
