World Bank confirms USD20mn help for poor


(MENAFN) The World Bank has confirmed USD20mn in order to help poor and vulnerable families in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh increase their profit, build skills and construct small-scale community infrastructure.

Moreover, the project plans to enhance access for poor and vulnerable households in selected communities to financial services and offer chances for generating income.

Additionally, it will also support poor and vulnerable families in 47 communes by building their capacity through self-help groups and producer groups.

Accordingly, the project will help cut poverty in Cambodia further, directly enhancing the lives of the poor and vulnerable in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh.
