Germany's 2018 campaign almost came to an end before a last-minute winner from Kroos, against Sweden, proved that they are here to stay.

Here we take a look at some of the unique records held by the German national football team.

Germany have also played the most number of games past the group phase. In their 18 appearances, they have made it to the quarter-finals on 13 occasions, 12 times to the semi-finals and 8 times to the finals of the World Cup.
