Foodies at Sharjah International Book Fair were in for a treat last night (Friday) as Egyptian celebrity chef Abdelsamei Elsherbiny prepared a mouthwatering chicken sesame dish.
In a standing-room only session at the fair’s live cooking station, the chef answered a multitude of questions from the audience who made notes on tips ranging from the best cooking oils to the perfect consistency of the eggs.
With ingredients including minced chicken breast, sesame seeds, flour, ginger, onion, garlic, sesame oil, eggs, milk, salt and pepper, Chef Abdelsamei rolled the mixture into balls before dipping in the eggs, flour and seeds and deep frying.
The result whet the appetite of everyone who looked on and it’s almost guaranteed to be on every dinner table at least once over the next few days.
