IHG pledges QR10,000 to Qatar Cancer Society

Doha:As part of the continuous effort in supporting the local community, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) Qatar has raised an impressive QR10,000 for the Qatar Cancer Society in the recent auction held during the IHG Qatar Open.
Every year, InterContinental Doha Hotel & Residences, InterContinental Doha the City, Crowne Plaza Doha The Business Park, and the newly-opened Holiday Doha The Business Park come together to organise one of the most anticipated golf tournaments in the country the IHG Qatar Open. The gala dinner, which saw the attendance of golf enthusiasts, management of Doha Golf Club, and the IHG Qatar team was a successful one with QR10,000 collected as donation to Qatar Cancer Society.
'Giving back to the society has always been part our main focus in conducting responsible business at IHG. We would like to thank the donors who generously contributed toward this great cause. We are glad to be working with Qatar Cancer Society again this year to continue increasing public awareness about cancer and cancer prevention, Andreas Pfister, General Manager of InterContinental Doha, and Director of Operation for IHG Northern Gulf, said.
Apart from raising funds during the annual IHG Qatar Open, all IHG Hotels in Qatar also support other causes which supports the local community while maintaining a sustainable business environment.
