Profile Articles Activity

I'm a PhD candidate in Biology at McGill University (Cristescu Lab) and a member of the Quebec Centre for Biodiversity Science (QCBS). My research focuses on environmental genomics and the development of molecular tools for biodiversity monitoring in freshwater ecosystems. I specialize in the use of environmental DNA (eDNA) and RNA (eRNA) to detect and track species presence and activity across space and time.

My work combines experimental ecology, molecular biology, and digital PCR techniques to study the degradation dynamics of nucleic acids in both controlled and field-relevant environments. I've published in peer-reviewed journals, including Molecular Ecology Resources, and have presented at national and international conferences on eDNA/eRNA methods.

I also engage in interdisciplinary collaborations that aim to bridge molecular ecology and environmental policy, and I'm passionate about science communication that makes cutting-edge ecological research accessible to a broad audience.
