Dhaka: In a significant move to strengthen aviation security, the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), in partnership with the Dubai Police General Command, has officially launched the Digital Security Screener Licensing System.

This system will oversee the certification and regulation of all security screeners working at Dubai's airports.

The initiative is aligned with both national and international standards and reflects the shared commitment of the two entities to develop specialised competencies and ensure long-term sustainability in aviation security, a Dubai Media Office report said.

The launch ceremony was attended by top government officials, including Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of the DCAA; Major General Harib Al Shamsi, acting commander-in-chief of Dubai Police; Obaid Al Nuaimi, executive director of the Aviation Security and Accident Investigation Sector; and Ahmad Belqaizi, executive director of the Aviation Safety and Environment Sector.

Also in attendance were Major General Marwan Julfar, acting assistant commander-in-Chief for Port Affairs; Brigadier Hamed Al Hashmi, acting director of the General Department of Airport Security; and his deputy, Brigadier Hamad Bin Dilan, along with other senior officials.
